hiyee! i'm finally back to update my blog... so get ready for a long long summary of wad's been happening for the past 5 days in which i've gone MIA.
last sun was spent packing for my NIE freshman orientation camp. just imagine packing without a packing list. so wad i did was to imagine i was packing for a chalet instead, since my last camp attended was God-knows-when at SRJC.
so on mon, i happily woke up darn early, ate my breakfast, packed the last few toiletries and wait for my dad to pick me to sch. just as expected, i reached NIE campus at 9.15am when i was supposed to report only at 10am... i walked straight to the reporting venue, and found a WHOLE bunch of people with huge haversacks sitting in groups and having discussions. my 1st reaction?? "Damn it... i'm late!"
so i bee-lined straight for one of the i/c behind a table, and was calmly told to wait. and so i did... i waited & waited until 10am, and i found out i haven submitted my consent form earlier, so my name wasnt in their record.
and guess wad? i was told to wait again. its sheer agony to sit around with a huge bag, looking like u've just got kicked out from home.
i ended up in a group called JEDI ONE. (yeap, starwars crap) but my group members were really nice. i shall not go into details about wad we did, cos i feel that at my age, no camps will ever perk me up, i'm too old for such stuff. ----------------~* on mon, dear went to collect my "new" desktop frm TP, he successfully bid balloted for one complete set of com (with 17" LCD monitor) at $150+ and its a gift to me! so happy... mon night at camp was horrible cos i had a terrible time, tossing around on the cold hard floor of the tutorial room. but it was this very MMS dear sent to me that brought a smile to my face instantly. i could imagine him taking a long time to clean the com with care, den arrange the set nicely, before taking this picture and sending it to me. so touched...
my com frm dear *muacks*
fast forward to Wed, after the camp, my dad picked me home, and i fell aslp immediately after a shower. dear was so sweet to come visit me after sch, and being super tired + sleepy, i actually didnt wake up to open the door for him! *whoops* Unfortunately too, Mr. Lim (my Major Project supervisor from TP) happened to call when i was slping. i couldnt remember wad i said to him, (he called to inform me abt ytd's meetup for dinner) but i guess i sounded pretty rude during the short conversation. :P *my apologies*
dear left my house ytd morning, while i prepared to go for my facial appointment, then followed by the dinner with Mr. Lim. the facial was great! *thumbs up* i spent 2.5 hrs there, and left with my face and hair in a mess, but i felt really relaxed and refreshed. so with the dishevelled hair and all, i took the MRT to buona vista (yea, peak hour to make it worse). once again, the blur me was taken aback when i found out, it wasnt a meetup of the MP group and Mr. Lim. it turned out to be only Simin, Mr. Lim, his wife and me going to NUS for dinner. Mr. Lim picked us up at the taxi stand and the four of us went to NUS Guild House (was it Kingfisher Cafe? i cant recall) for dinner. the food there is yummi-licious! and i felt so bad when Mr. Lim insisted to pick up the bill. we chatted for almost 2 hours before he sent us to Dover MRT.
So Simin and i just sat at the Dover/SP bus stop, talked non-stop for the next 2 hours. it was 10.45 before we decided it was time to head home. *miss u girl! pls do take care of ur health and dun push urself too hard*
TODAY!! (finally...) dear stayed over last night and this morning, he brought me to have breakfast at Mac. *grinz* we went to Compass Point, ate our breakfast den i decided i wanted to cook lunch for dear before i shift to hostel on Sunday. we bought some meat @cold storage followed by going to Kiddy Palace to shop for babywear as gifts to 2 newborns. :) 1st, its my bro's tuition teacher, who gave birth to a baby girl (1mth+ now) and the other one is Meng Ting's (my doggie-owner kaki who lives next block) baby boy named Caden. born on 7th July, barely 2 weeks old!!! he's so tiny!
the following are the pictures of the present for these 2 lucky-lucky bundle of joy! cos the presents are carefully chosen by me and dear!!
for baby Caden...
and my fave? the baby's girl set! its so so sweet...
the wrap-around blankie...
the very cute pair of booties!
man... and i spent so much time "hoo-hah"ing over the beautiful things made for kids these days...
that sort of sums up this entry, and just to let u guys know, i guess i wun be able to come online much while at the hostel.
wish me luck, and literally, dun-let-the-bed-bugs-bite...

yesterday was my graduation day. :{ was really happy to see all of my close friends in poly but seeing them made me miss them even more. *sob...*
we were really thrilled during photo taking and catching up after the ceremony, but when its time to leave, i certainly felt that we are going our separate ways in life. *double sob...*
after the ceremony, we went for lunch at Biz Park (yeah, probably the last time too) and i ate Shwetong. the looks-gross-but-actually-taste-good noodles that i loved so much during school days.
it was KTV time at Party World Orchard and i really had a good time with Aud, XX and Joy. man, we were crapping around singing oldies and laughing madly.
by the time we left, it was pouring buckets outside. so the 4 of us took shelter in my pathetically small umbrella while walking to taka. and we parted ways at the MRT.
now i'm waiting for these dear girls to send me the photos. cos my digicam is too lousy to take any decent ones. so meanwhile, wait for the photos, it'll be up soon.
spent the whole of today packing up for the camp on Mon. and i guess i'll dump some of the stuff at the hostel after the camp. its been a long time, (hell, i think the last one was at SRJC, squash orientation camp if i'm not wrong) 3-4yrs to be exact...
hope they wun make me wash the toilets like old times.... eeks!
counting down to the new sch term... 9 more days to go.

my recent indulgence...
and 2 tops... one from mango and the other from DCP.
man... this has to stop. cos my drawer is literally failing apart.
dang it, is it my fault or IKEA's lousy workmanship?
for me, that has to be IKEA's fault.

laziness acting up... so keeping this entry short.
i've got my letter for hostel accomodation. and i din exactly get the hostels near NIE. its quite far away at hall 7. eesh...
London just had their share of bombing attacks. God bless those, whose lives have been changed by this incident in 1 way or another.
starting to get really sick and tired of these terrorists, dun they have a brain or something? no country is really safe anymore, that includes Singapore. i'll leave u to think about the consequences of terrorist attacks on such a small country like us. we'll probably sink into the sea or just end up as floating debris. (*pessismist here, blabbering...*)
