i came across one of the forums and saw someone's adopted 4yr old schnauzer. No big deal really, since adopted dogs are aplenty.

but this schnauzer is different, she might just be my first love (eh hmm for dogs).

i met an endearing, shy and lovely schnauzer puppy 4 yrs ago when i was taking my o'levels. i used to attend tuition with my ex at a tutor's house and we often had to walk past the neighbour's house.

i still remember the doggie's name, the family's boisterious children and how the puppy looked absolutely terrified and helpless when the little boy handled her in a rough manner. it hurts me to see that, but there's nothing i can do, dogs in our society are considered commodities, u buy them, and as long as u dun go overboard and abuse them, its no crime.
(okay i'm getting hysterical over my love for dogs.)

i used to buy treats for her, spend my study breaks playing with her and i remembered that her favorite hideout was behind the tv cabinet.

anyway, i finished my o'levels and i felt there was no reason for me to go back all the way from commonwealth (my old house) to hougang.

i still think of her occasionally, when i see schnauzers or when i get reminded of her unique name. she sparked off my love for dogs, and because of her beauty, i intially wanted to get a schnauzer instead of a chihuahua (=bou).

i naturally assumed that she would be staying with the family still. but if she is indeed the adopted schnauzer i saw (adopter is already 3rd owner), i cannot imagine what kind of torture she has gone through to find this loving home.

i am sorry dear girl, i am sorry that i didnt do anything when u gave me those pleading eyes.
i am partially at fault to all that has happened, because i could haf popped by at the place to see u even when my exams are over.

i forgot about u and comforted myself that u will be happy in the family and the children will learn to respect u as they grow up.

i was wrong...

if the she is the adopted schnauzer, i will want to meet her again... to look into those lovely eyes once more.
