can somebody help me figure out driving centres (and lessons) before i even learn how to drive?
holy shit *cursing under my breath*... today i finally got my ass off my comfy armchair and took a bus down to Ubi driving centre to enroll for driving, but i ended up being more confused than the time when i first took C maths in JC (that was, without any A maths foundation)
i had no problems reaching the driving centre, since i've passed by countless times either in dad's cab or buses, furthermore, dear's place is less than 5 bus-stops away. i walked in, with a few other people, and most of them seemed like regulars, so i followed closely behind, trying to blend in and look like a regular too.
when i reach the main building, the regulars all left me *bleargh* and thank God, they left me right outside the customer service office and i walked in as naturally as possible. (ya la, i dun wanna lose face by looking lost...)
the office reminds me of a typical registration area in a polyclinic, with people (young and old) seated and waiting for their numbers to be called. i started looking for the "queue-dispensing" machine and probably, the most embarassing thing i did today was to stare at a row of computer-like machines thinking (only for a brief moment) that they'll give me my queue no. Of course they dun, and i found the real "queue-dispensing" machine, took a no. for "Enrollment for (Class 3) Motorcar" and got myself seated comfortably.
as i sat there waiting, i chose my favorite customer service officer (ok, when i'm alone and bo liao while waiting for my turn, lots of silly things go through my mind) and hope that she'll serve me, at the same time, identifying the officer whom i didn't want serving me. in case u r wondering how they look like, the short-listed lady was pleasant looking and looked every-inch like ur friendly customer service officer in the ads, the other woman was, however, every-inch like ur grouchy Chinese teacher, so that explains my superficial choice.
anyway, i got my fav customer service officer, but as the saying goes, "don't judge a book by its covers" this lady speaks like a machine gun and i hardly know what is happening before she moves on to the next section. my brain needs time to process the information i've heard, and after every "round" of words, she'll punctuated it with, "do you understand?" the sad thing is, everytime, i'll nod in confusion. so perhaps, the "teacher" would have done a better job at explaining to me.
so i left, feeling kinda angry at myself (and her) and the whole Ubi driving centre for making me so confused and there's no way for me to check for the information i need online.
SO HELP! this is a call of distress to anyone who can help me...
